The Resurrection of the Phoenix
This blog has been dormant for much too long, but I'm resurrecting it.
Since I last posted here I have retired, so I am no longer in the loop about IBM's developments. Of course, I still follow what's happening, e.g. I'm delighted that Rashik Parmar has been appointed to the lofty position of IBM Fellow - couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
After retiring I have spent more time focusing on my bees, to the extent that I am on the committee for my local beekeeping association, and have been elected as national secretary of the Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Associations. Along with this, I've spent more time educating myself about the realities of beekeeping, including taking the formal exams - I hope to complete the senior cycle next year. Of course, I'm going to use my honey labels' graphics for the blog's decoration:
Anyway, I'm going to continue with my blogging, but writing about things that I find interesting, particularly things that may be a little obscure in the bee world.
